Xero: Completing Payroll

What we'll be tackling in this article is some of the most common error messages you might receive when processing payroll, and how to fix them easily without needing to contact Helpdesk.
As usual though, if you cannot find the error message in this list, please Helpdesk
Preventative Measures
In Wageloch, there are a few tools that we can enable to help identify the source of the problem.
These tools are found through the following steps:
- Click the Settings cog, top right.
- From the menu, hover over Payroll and select Payroll Connection.
- In the Options section, you will see the following functions:
- Process one employee at a time
- Export timesheets to Xero as
- Update Rates in Xero / Do not update rates in Xero
Wageloch Errors
The few errors listed below are problems that need to be resolved in Wageloch prior to being attempting your timesheet export again.

Mapping not found
Invalid EmployeeID
Tracking ID has not been set
Xero Import Errors
Staff Card
Employee doesn't have an ordinary earnings rate
Pay Calendar
Timesheets
Timesheet is not a Draft timesheet
Pay Items/Entitlements
Could not find Earnings Rate
Earnings Rate does not exist or is not valid for timesheets
Leave
Unable to create leave request
The Start Date for leave application cannot be before Employee's Start Date
Tracking Categories
Could not find Tracking ID
Other Payroll Issues
Error messages aside, there can be other problems that may arise in less obvious ways.
More often than not you may find it easier to Helpdesk for a quick resolution, but everyone loves working things out themselves!
