Manager Guide to the Mobile App
This guide explains what managers can do in the mobile app.
Before you start
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Manager access enabled for your account.
- Your login details.
- Access to the sites, teams, or employees you are responsible for.
Once you sign in, the app opens on the Home screen.
Info: Features and actions depend on manager permissions and portal configuration.
Home
The Home screen gives managers access to both personal and team workflows.
Managers can switch between the Employee and Manager tabs.
The Employee tab gives access to personal features such as My Roster, Unavailability, Leave, Log Book, Messages, Shift Swap, and Payslips.
The Manager tab gives access to team and administrative features.
Review team status
From the Manager tab on Home, managers can review how many employees are clocked in and out and how many employees are on leave. Managers can also review the total number of employees for the site or team.
Open manager quick actions
Manager quick actions currently include Team Roster, Timesheets, Shift Swaps, and Messages.
Team Status
Open Team Status to monitor attendance and availability.
There are three tabs: Clocked In, Clocked Out, and On Leave.
Managers can search employees by name or role, review employee roles and locations, and see when an employee clocked in.
Managers can also see when an employee is on leave and identify who has not clocked in yet.
Team Roster
Open Team Roster to review and maintain staff rosters.
View roster periods
The main roster screen shows collapsible roster periods such as the current roster period and the previous roster period.
Each roster period shows the date, the number of employees rostered, and a Publish or Republish action.
Open a roster day
When you open a day, you can review all employees rostered for that day, search for a staff member, sort the employee list, and open or edit an employee shift. You can also add or replace shifts, remove an employee from the day roster, and add a new employee to a published roster.
Add staff to a roster
- On the Team Roster page, select Add staff.
- Select the employee to add.
- Add the employee's shifts.
- Select Save.
- Return to the roster period page, open the dropdown, and select Republish.
Add a shift
Use Add Shift to add an additional rostered shift for an employee.
Managers can enter the date, start time, finish time, and an optional team.
- Open a day in Team Roster.
- Select an employee to edit their details.
- Tap Add Shift.
- Enter the shift details.
- Tap Save.
- After making roster changes, tap Republish to send updates to employees.
Edit and replace shifts
Select an employee card to update that employee's rostered shift details.
Managers can change the employee by selecting Replace, edit shift start and end times, update department and role, and add another shift using Add Shift. Managers can also delete one shift using the delete icon on the shift card or delete all shifts using Delete all at the bottom of the page.
To replace one employee's shift with another employee:
- Select Replace.
- Select the employee who will take the shift.
- Note: only employees who do not already have a shift that day appear in the list.
- Select Save.
- Republish the roster so the update is sent.
Timesheets
Open Timesheets to review and update recorded work time.
Review timesheet periods
On the main timesheet screen, managers can browse current and previous timesheet periods and expand or collapse a period. Managers can also review the number of timesheets for a day and add a new timesheet.
Review a timesheet day
When you open a day in timesheet view, you can move between dates using the arrow buttons next to the date and use the calendar picker by selecting the date. You can also review individual employee entries, open an entry for editing, and finalise or unfinalise the day.
Add a timesheet
Use Add Timesheet to manually create a timesheet entry.
Managers can enter date, employee, one or more paid shifts, department, and role.
- Open Timesheets.
- Tap Add staff.
- Select the date.
- Select the employee.
- Select department and role.
- Add one or more paid shifts.
- Tap Save.
- The employee is added to the timesheet period.
Edit a timesheet
Use Edit Timesheet to correct or update an employee timesheet.
Managers can select any employee from the employee card, open the employee edit page, edit paid start and end times, and review clocked and rostered times (read-only). Managers can also update department and role, add or delete shifts, delete all shifts, finalise a timesheet, and switch to another employee from the name drop-down at the top of the page.
Shift Swap
If manager approval is required for shift swaps, use Shift Swap from the manager view to review submitted requests.
Managers can review details of submitted shift swaps, approve or decline a request, and select replacement employees when approved. Managers can also review shift swap status (approved or declined).
Important: After roster changes or shift replacements, use Republish so employees receive updated shifts.

- Review the Manager tab on Home.

- Open Team Roster.
- Create or review a roster.
- Open Timesheets.
- Review Shift Swap and manager quick actions.
